Because this is my home and everywhere else is not my home. I cannot change it alone, but there is always hope that Americans will get together on something and change it. United we stand etc. People need to put their own shiot to the side for once. We could have cheaper gas. We could have cheaper health care. We could put all the Big Greed into a perspective place. I'm all for people getting wealthy and living a high life, but the Bill Gates are too few and far between. Mostly its people who want to have it all. You can't have it all unless you bury alot of people.

We should have a colony on Mars by now. We should be to a point where we aren't all killing each other over money, god, and a sweet pair of Nikes. The US government is getting more and more power and we are LETTING them have it. We need to take it back. We CAN do it peacefully. It involves cooperation amongst ourselves. And NON cooperation with them.

Actually I think you have your facts bass ackwards.

I've never known any republicans who would vote for Hillary Clinton to be president.

There are, however, a lot of republicans who would be willing to vote for Obama.

Well let me just clue ya in. I live in the heart of Republicanland. They would vote for Hillary before Obama.

I also know a lot of independents and democrats that won't vote for obama, granted this is NY, so the fact that me and them are going to stay home doesn't matter.
Are those republicans living in the working class states that Clinton universally crushed him in? If not, they're also pointless fluff. McCain is going to win every state that Bush did, and we're going to have a republican winning another very close election.

The republicans are grateful that Obama is the victor over Hillary. No republican I know is going to vote for Obama. But if Hill and Obama was running against each other for the Presidency, then all the Repubs (around here anyways) would vote for Hill.

I'm surprised at the number of people around here who say they refuse to vote democrat because the dems are going to ban guns (or some alarmist junk like that).

And I think some of them just use it as an easy excuse because they don't want to vote for a black person, but don't want to say as much in mixed company.
