You don't seem as pissed as everyone else on the planet would probably be...
Be sure your sin will find you out...
Re: ey, my aparment was broke into last night
what the hell am I gonna do ya know. Honestly, with some random dude in my apartment right beside me without knowing, could have been a lot worse.
He took a few things, and (I now discovered my truck was found about an hour away, caught on fire)... but there is a lot more shit he could have grabbed. I just can't shake this fucked up feeling of someone being in my room without me knowing.

Probably a good thing you didn't wake up and spook him and maybe get shot or stabbed or something.

yea, because that is on par with someone that would leave his books on the step :/
Re: ey, my aparment was broke into last night
Maybe that's just his way of saying "Stay in school."

Unless they shoot you while you are sleeping because they see the gun or get it first, or you miss because you just woke up and are groggy and then proceed to fire several rounds off at the bed hitting you while you are prone. Do you ever worry about those types of scenarios? If they don't have a gun with them, though, you'll be in good shape maybe. My friend is a cop and is always a bit nervous when he hears people talk like this because he's seen so many 'armed homeowner' situations not go as planned. On an unrelated note, do you have a CWP or do you keep the gun at home during the day?xer0s wrote:I keep a .45 next to my bed. If anyone comes in, it's gonna get messy.
Luckily my neighborhood hasn't had any shootings in the last 100 years or so and I don't see the need for a gun next to the bed yet. Not against gun ownership though, so don't take this as an anti-gun rant.

rofl...
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

In my opinion, it's better to have the gun and it go somewhat wrong, then not have it and let the situation go terribly wrong. And I'm a light sleeper. My house is locked up tight. If anyone gets in, they are going to have to make noise, and it will be enough to wake me. It will take me 3 seconds to wake up and have the gun pointed at my bedroom door. I've won shooting competitions in the past. It's not likely that I'll miss.tnf wrote:Unless they shoot you while you are sleeping because they see the gun or get it first, or you miss because you just woke up and are groggy and then proceed to fire several rounds off at the bed hitting you while you are prone. word... I can't believe the prices they offer you. I had a ~250 dollar math book from last semester I was gonna try and sell back for this semester, it almost cost me more in gas to drive to the school's bookstore to offer them this book than what they were gonna pay for it. (I keep all other books like my cisco books, A+ etc... so I have no idea what those run.AmIdYfReAk wrote: i remember my school offered me $5 for 2K worth of books...
btw, I'll post some pics of the burnt ranger once I get 'em off my friends phone.

I hope it all works out that well for you if it happens. You are definitely certain of the outcome of a potentially violent situation.xer0s wrote:

Too bad about yer truck. Sounds to me like it was a kid. Left yer books by the door and:
"Hey! I'll burn the truck so they can't get my prints"
I doubt you'll see any of yer stuff in the pawn shops. You might see something of yours in the hands of some punk teen at the mall....or whatever.
To all you gun next to the bed ninjas....yeah, good luck with that.

unless your next thief has a pair of these:

i'd suggest shoving a large dowel in the sliding door track at the very least.

None of the pictures turned out very good... but here's one with what looks like a hand print on the door... A lady is going out today to takes print of the truck, hopefully she can grab some good ones.

sofa in the garage...classy
Re: ey, my aparment was broke into last night
that's at the wrecker service, and that's a bench seat out of a truck, or maybe an old van, it was pretty big.
my trucks still on hold or whatever, b/c I haven't been able to get any help at all until this lady called me yesterday.

I don't believe in alarm systems as they do nothing for prevention.
but I do want to install 1 or 2 motion activated rec. cameras in strategic places either in my house or outside. Atleast if I can't stop them I can see who it was, if it would trully be a stranger ( which is almost never the case) I would have something to give the local authorities to go by.
between an overpriced alarm system and a camera setup I know where I'd spend my money on.
