This has been addressed in the not too distant past, protesting doesn't fucking make a difference, ESPECIALLY with this administration. For fuck's sake, Cheney was JUST ON TV and responded "So?" when told that 68% of Americans don't approve of his stupid fucking war. Wake up, the people in power don't care what you and I think. You vote for the least objectionable asshole that comes around next cycle and hope for the best.
Nothing short of armed insurrection is going to change things at this point.

I can neither confirm nor deny having suggested such a course of action in the recent past. No more questions, please. :paranoid:

Actually, we did that back when you guys decided to invade Iraq. Did you listen then? Fuck no, and here we are now with 4000 dead American soldiers.

Another example of your rampant stupidity, ya dumb fuckin yank.

- There are protestors right now along the olympic flame route in China regarding China's human rights record.
- Tens of thousands of monks and civilians around Burma have held the biggest protest marches against the military government yet. Eyewitnesses say up to 100,000 people marched.
- Tens of thousands marched in Taiwan to protest and demand the resignation of President Chen Shui-bian.
- There were over 15 million people who protested the Iraq war....globally....before it started.
- There were hundreds of thousands of people in Iran who protested against Al-Queda/gave a vigil after the 9/11 attacks.
- The protesting/rioting that happened in northern Paris last year?
- Or the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989?

lol..yeah...people around the world don't protest.

Gramps...you really are a stupid mother fucker.

If it was just ignorance it could be dismissed.

Gramps has proven many times that he's stupid.

People here protested before the war.People here have protested during the war. But the protests weren't large enough to be a concern, nor did they go on long enough to cause concern. Just like the rest of the worlds protest against the war in Iraq. If all of our allies are so up in arms about how this war has progressed. Why hasn't there been mass, month long protests that cause your governments to place embargoes on the US? Why hasn't any of these countries forbidden trade with, or travel to and from the US? Look in the mirror when you ask stupid questions like this. Because you're no better than any American. You're just a bunch of self righteous pricks with a lot of questions that you don't have answers for.

STFU....

BTW Dip shit, I wasn't talking about other countries protesting other individual events. I was talking specifically about the war in Iraq and America's involvment.

Our people aren't dying over there, we don't have as strong reasons to be concerned as you do. Still we protested.

Lol, commit diplomatic and economic suicide over a bunch of dead Iraqi's? I think not. We may be bleeding heart liberals here in euro land, and we may be deeply concerned about the cavalier attitude with which the war was started and we may think you americans are absolutely insane for buying into the reasons that were given but we're certainly not crazy enough to place that above our economic interests.

The only nations that dared voice their disaproval right from the beginning were pressured relentlessly into changing their minds, and when they didn't some kind of hysteria broke out in your country. People were renaming food and boycotting products for fuck sake.

So the rest of us euros played a clever little political game to save our asses: we sent a handful of troops, declared political support and then quietly withdrew the troops. Your mess now, not ours. Good luck with it.

Yep, we pretty much see it for what it is: a very foolish undertaking which will probably have dire consequences in the long run. It's worth getting upset about, it's not worth getting too upset about. We lose either way if we take sides see, either we join you in an unjust war or we lose our biggest trading partner and protector. So we pretended to help you when you pretended to seek allies and the status quo is saved. The arabs only mildly hate us, and you guys still like us.
YourGrandpa wrote: Yeah, why put yourself at risk for the sake of others. Sitting around pointing fingers is so much easier. :olo:

By others, do you mean corporations like Halliburton or are you still telling yourself the Iraqi people are generally better off than they were before the war? Because i'll tell you this: the rest of the world is convinced the Iraq adventure is deeply corrupt, morally repulsive and breathtakingly irrisponsible. So yeah, it sure is a lot easier and smarter just pointing our fingers and laughing.

Hey retard...the protests before the war - the one with the 15 million people worldwide participating - is THE single largest protest in the history of this planet. It is also the record for the largest protest against one single individual (Bush).

Do some reading, ya fuckin redneck.

While you're correct that it didn't do much in the way of changing things (cause your government was gonna go to war no matter what) it did in fact change the way the world looks at the US and - IMHO - was the moment the entire world saw America for what it was. So yeah....the protests did in fact change things. Notice that people don't go to the US for vacations anymore? Notice your dollar is worth less than shit and dropping further every day?

Fuckin hell you're so stupid it's amazing you can even wipe your own ass.

Do you think America as a whole wants to be in Iraq? Do you think that America doesn't know now that this was unjustified war? Do you think that we don't see the corruption? If so, you're a fool. I would ask you for your solutions to all of these problems, but you're obviously not capable of doing that.

But I glad to see you care about this, that you're willing to do nothing but point out the obvious. :olo:

Hey fat video game guy... It was an estimated 15 million, but probably more like 6 to 10 and it streached accross TWO whole days. Do you realise that the population of the planet is 6.6+ billion and that 10 million people only represents .15%.
WOW, what a protest.... Not really earth shattering when you consider the numbers.
Do some reading, ya fuckin redneck.
Sounds like you could use some help in that department.

I don't think it "changed" the way the world looked at the US. We've been a target for hate for many years. This event only intensified the hate. Something that the US didn't need or it's people want. And our dollar isn't losing vaule becuase other countries dislike us, you dimwit. There is a myriad of reasons and the cost to fund this war is just one of them.
Fuckin hell you're so stupid it's amazing you can even wipe your own ass.
Since you're so smart, I'm sure you've figured this whole thing out and know exactly how to fix it. Enlighten me. Hell enlighten us all. We a want know what the great fat man has to say. Now don't just sit there pointing out the obvious. Do something that will fix this. :olo:

This is my personal favourite, Gramps pointing out that America has finally realised what the rest of the world knows. Only difference being the rest of the world was able to reach this conclusion without invading a country for years on end and killing thousands of people.
