Well I played some q2 last night on the famous ztn maps and I must say I had a blast...been a while since I've laughed so hard playing quake.

Id made awesome games back in the q2 days...you can actually still "feel" the greatness of q2 even after all those years...a masterpiece, kids.

Feels kinda weird to connect to some ffa server full of players waiting in line to play a 10 years old game...

here's some other q2 servers you can try if your in the mood...

tastyspleen.net:27912
- Primarily single-player maps

We now have a railz server:

- Custom maps
- No armor

There is also an experimental server, called mutant:

- Currently running a small custom map list
- May be experimenting with changing spawns on maps, etc. etc.

And, proper respect to sheridan:

Last but not least ctf:

- Capture the Flag


the 27912 serve is the standard single player and dm maps. there is always at least 8-12 players there. lot of the time there is upwards to 20-30 players. The mutant server occasioanly has small matches of 2-6 players with custom maps.

and yeah, a lot of the people playing now are old enough to be the parents of the 10 year olds this games was made for

I don't really play anything else than dm, gxmod and tourney...I used to play ctf but the grapple feels gay now...anyhow see you there boy!
