While I'm not one to quickly find these sorts of things funny, I can understand that people find the mental image of it funny. I mean, they found it funny in Postal as well, so why not now? The sad thing is that those people probably don't have a clear defitinition of real and fiction. On the other hand, there's probably a lot of inter-testosterone involved in this discussion.

It sorta reminds me of the neanderthal crowds that would watch and laugh at the condemned during public executions back during the middle ages....the lowest rung on the human evolutionary ladder.

You fail to account for morbid curiosity, which is something a lot of (otherwise completely normal) people have. To say that anyone who'd watch a public excecution is the lowest rung on the evolutionary ladder is taking it much too far.
