Actually, the biggest part of my income is from school and private teaching, that IS my day job.

Playing regular gigs is my secondary income, but considering all I have to do is make a 20 minute drive, set up my kit, get fed and watered well, and play music for an hour and earn a tidy little 3 figure sum and then drive home, I don't think it's such a bad deal. Especially as a lot of people have to work a full week to earn what I earn in one hour.
