. I have a half-gallon whiskey jar (from a pub) that is nearly full of change; still about 1/3d to go. Should have a lot in there when I check it.

But the pound is one of the highest valued currencys around.
I.e. £1 > x1 (where x is another currency) is much higher than most (all I can think of) other currencies.
I wouldn't want to play 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' for anything other than pounds. Imagine a turkish version.
