Right down the highway there is a Mexican shithole. I guess you could call it little Mexico. It is 100% Mexican. Hardly anyone speaks English there.

They have legal families who let their illegal relatives and friends stay with them. Then in the mornings, they sit on the corners like prostitutes and wait for the farm truck to pick them up at about 4AM.

A farmer comes up and says, (in spanish), "I'm paying $3 today. Whoever wants on, get on the truck." And some sit it out and wait for $4 an hour, but most take whatever they can get. Since they're not American, they can't get a job legally. Since they're not American, they don't have our rights, such as a minimum wage. Since they're not seasonal workers, they haven't those rights either.

Actually, illegal aliens cause a lot of problems - mostly financial and crime-related. And our border with Mexico does need to be tightened enough so that only people with good passports and visas can come through.

Wrong. This isn't some sort of misdirected right-wing xenophobia. Illegal immigrants are a massive burden on social services, for which they contribute precisely dick. I think that Arizona stated that they spent something on the order of 2 or 4 BILLION dollars on welfare and healthcare services for illegals last year.
Do illegals take jobs Americans don't want? Sure, and part of that IS another issue entirely, that of a living wage.
That aside, another problem is the criminal element, as Rook mentioned. Cross-border drug smuggling has risen a large amount recently, as has violence along the border and towards Border Patrol officers.
Then you have the issue of increased ethnic polarization, something that I see on a regular basis. Charlotte has had a massive boom in Hispanic residents recently, many of them illegals. Problem is, they don't speak English, so their kids don't. BUT, they get to go to school, and the local school system has to pay for interpreters or bilingual teachers. This is somewhat of a separate issue, but not entirely.
There's also a huge amount of revenue flowing back across the border from illegal workers. So much so that a town close to the border recently started printing up booklets on how to sneak into the US and apply for all sorts of public assistance. Why? Because this town is sick of all the money going back to Mexico City, and so they're ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO SNEAK INTO THE US AND SEND MONEY BACK. I saw we wall off the border, and good for the Minutemen for trying to do something about a serious problem.
I see some potential for bad results, but let's hope they do a good job of screening out the wackos.

That's proposterous... Over here illegals can't expect the first thing from the goverment. Maybe you'll get a hospital bill paid, but that's it... plus you'll get fucked completely sideways by not being able to get insured for anything.

The US is cornholing the economies of several countries right now - not just Iraq - and I'm sure the people in those countries would like the Amercians running the show out....and I'm sure they'd like to build a wall to keep the Americans out.

I'd argue that it's down to Americans to not hire these people then. As well they should refuse to buy from people who do hire them (hello walmart) and as well they should be prepared to pay higher prices for the goods they buy as the cost of production will be up as Americans won't work for $4 a day.
