You should probably listen to some
music before making that claim.
Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life And Death (thanks Torm for suggesting it)
Bob Dylan - Modern Times
Hans Zimmer - PotC2 Soundtrack
Amorphis - Eclipse (thanks Crinkeh)
The Rasmus - Hide From The Sun
and rofl, I thought Stadium Arcadium was older

aye it's not bad.
I don't think I bought any cds in 2006. I seldom buy cds anyways (I don't download either). However, the album that made most impression on me was one I got from a collegue of mine; Eagles of Death Metal - Death By Sexy.
so. yea.

The only album made in 2006 I bought in 2006 was Super Colossal. It's surprisingly good music to have sex to.

For albums that were released in 2006:
Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam
Tool - 10,000 Days
I got a bunch of great older albums during the year, too.

best album of 2006 that i got was tv on the radio - return to cookie mountain, and honorable mention for best album goes to mastodon - blood mountain. there were also some really good ones, but they don't compete with those two. some really good ones that i heard were
thom yorke - the eraser
the hold steady - boys and girls in america
hot chip - the warning
junior boys - so this is goodbye
Espers - Espers II
Ellen Allien & Apparat - Orchestra of Bubbles
Nathan Fake - Drowning in a Sea of Love (ive seen one of his songs featured in a nokia commercial, i guess he wants to gain mainstream success through the commercial backdoor like Moby has done, but i dont think his songs will lend themselves as easily to radio play)
The Futureheads - News and Tributes
btw, i haven't been here in a few years, and it wouldnt let me use my old account that had like 3500+ posts on it. lol, that sucks,. btw, does anyone still play quake3? i play ra3 still, but only ra3.

holy shit, i think i remember you. you have 40k posts? omfg. i remember when crackmonkey was the big man on campus around here with ten thousand posts, and that was ages ago. i discovered a new forum that moves much faster than this one, and plus, i left when this board went down without any warning. but i see it's back and alive. lol, there are some dedicated folks here.

I stumbled across a few of the tracks from that album randomly, which I liked, so I decided to get it. Very happy that I did :icon14:
Other than that, I got Under The Iron Sea by Keane, and I like it so much I've hardly touched Coldplay for ages.
