What hey are speaking of about the plained buisness is that a member awhile back could not speak English all that great, he made us all el oh el all the time with his grammar. He hasn't been around much after the change from raw-one to q3w so they are thinking you are the said person.

I on the other believe otherwise, like you said...you are a 47YO frenchie.

Thanks for the precision my friend. I tought that it has to do with me, making too many ''fautes d'orthographe'' in here. I am not perfectly bilingual...Well, I guess it showed. I do my best to write in here using a dictionnary.

So, I'm still stapled with the alt thing..

I guess that could be a possibility, but I doubt it would work. Chloroplasts absorb light with specific wave-lengths to excite electrons in the chloroplast. It's been awhile since I've taken either botany or quantum mechanics, but electricity would only send electrons through the plant, which is not what we want. Without electrons properly excited, sugar won't be created.

Also, I'd expect electricity to throw the electron transport chain out
of whack, but that's a whole different topic.

Would you know were would be the best positionning for the electrodes and what mili amps I should use and if I would nurture my plant with sugared water, if it could help?

I have no idea.
But, if you're going to do a real experiment, try different things. Have a control plant, then have a number of others where you increase the electricity in small increments. Also, try different locations for the electrodes.

I'll bet you're not the first person to try this. Search for some other experiments people have done to see what techniques they used and what results they got.

As for the sugar-water, you don't want to use it, for two reasons:
1) Plants make their sugar; they don't absorb it. Your experiment is to see if they can make sugar from electricity instead of light.
2) Sugar would make the water hypertonic, and the plant will wilt.
