Disc scratching when the console is disturbed, or has this been fully resolved already?

Well children play consoles as well, lest we forget, so some sturdiness should be expected.

I heard that merely having it on a vibrating surface can cause disc scratches.

intranets

Other devices with moving parts or vibrating components on the same level or even a level above or below the console, so I've heard, can cause this problem.

i don't think the cpu runs cool enough to drop fan speed. they need better fans for that and most of the noise is from the dvd drive spinning at full speed

the noise i've heard on two of my friends' 360's is not a drive. the fans are pretty loud on theirs.

mine i hardly hear. its usually the drive that makes the most noise

Now if this leaves original 360 owners like myself slightly stitched up because the revised model will have 1080p support and we dont.... then im going to be very annoyed.

Microsoft always refused to answer any question about a possible HDMI-cable for the Xbox360 (even when asked for explicitly), but this HANA chip probably confirms the current 360 can only output an analog signal, so an HDMI-cable for the current 360 probably won't be possible (sure they could design a cable/box that reconverts the analog output to digital, but that makes no sense and is not the point).

db

u get that cable?

of course not...

you won't get any options with a VGA cable. my mates sony is pin sharp and 1080p but the colour is weak. mine is 720P, pin sharp and the colour is great

normal DVD play back is shit loads better

Actually they are having a hard time selling the system ATM, people know that there are just no good games for it and are waiting.

As for the re-design... Fucking hell people, this is technology. Do you honestly think this is the first time its happened?

The PSX went through like seven designs, the PSOne had a couple, the PS2 had fucking LOADS... The xbox never because they fucked up with licencing the tech inside so they couldn't make hardware revisions so easily.

Remember people, its not JUST the look of a system, its the insides too. The 360 has already had a few revisions. So what if its got HDMI now and a bigger HDD? Just buy the damn cable (If they do the right thing and make one for normal xboxers) and buy the HDD. Simple.

Its gonna happen with the PS3, and its gonna happen with pretty much everything. Get over it. Its called technology.
