It depends on how the energy was released. IIRC, the one in Decemeber caused the seafloor to lurch quite a bit and quiet suddenly. This one lasted over two minutes and must not have caused the seafloor to move as much. They also think it released its energy in a different direction.

...sounds like no tidal wave has been found so there won't be any tsunamis this time...maybe next time...too bad.

ahh, thought it would be something like that just didnt expect it to reduce its destructive force by so much :)
