Graphics for Xbox D3 are mediocre at best and I am running it in 480i High Definition mode on a 17inch monitor (which is so much nicer than on a standard TV unless you are using the high def pack) looks just like 800x600 medium detail

Deathmatch (up to 4 players) works great on X-Link's KAI is pretty fast paced unlike Halo 2, It’s funny as hell when you sneak up on someone and punch them, you actually take their weapon and leave them bare handed. :icon32: the maps are kind of tight and dark though, but fun, I can't see myself getting hooked on 4 player tight DM matches though when I've been playing 10 - 12 player team games in Halo 2

Co-OP (2 players only) is fun as a shoot-em-up kinda like Serious Sam. They took out the PDAs and some of the movies, no more locked crates everything out in the open. I was planning on going through the whole game with a buddy, but I'll be missing out on the fun of figuring my way through the game. so I guess I'll be playing with myself for now :icon30:

In Co-op it got choppy when a few baddies were in the room with us, and if you let the baddies get close enough some of them take your weapon and don't give it back. All in all it’s not too bad, my guess is I'll get a little but through the game and start playing Unreal Championship when that comes

Is co-op split screen only, or can you play 1 player each on 2 consoles? Co-op over X-link KAI would be sweet, IMO.

FPS games were meant to be played on PCs... not gaming consoles.

Co-op through system link and on Kai :icon30:

well, for the sake of the arguement, doom3 really is a slowpaced game, so its more than doable with a controller
its even slower than halo and halo is quite playable.

hell ive played serious sam on xbox every which way. its all about the circlestrafe

Doom3 campaign is faster paced than halo2 and about 3x if not more the speed in Deathmatch mode than Halo2 it's like plauing quake 3 with a 120FOV you can whip through the maps in seconds.

it aint faster than serious sam though

i can image it being tedious though cos of the cramped level design in doom3. halo was made for a console so the corridors are a bit wider than usual.. more Q2 style

Not in co-op they slow it down a bit, but in Deathmatch it's faster than serious Sam.

It just sucks that in co-op they removed the locked crates and all the PDAs there is nothing to hunt for it's just a shoot-em-up
