Yeah its on Xbox, Ps2, and GC now..

we got a "deluxe" version.. basicly 1+2 together...

had it on GC for a while, but yeah, sold the GC because 3 games isnt worth keeping that shit system around

There's a second one out there!? I'll buy that this weekend heheheh. It's fun when you're jsut sitting around at home.

I still play Metroid Prime Echos and NFSU2 on the GC at home, there really aren't enough titles for it are there.

same here. My first game is going to be Twisted Metal: Head On. Altho you say tomorrow but it is Tuesday the 22nd so it doesn't come out until the 24th so is that a typo or are you getting it on midnight?

Already picked up my copy of TM:HO. Now I just need the psp .

Well depending on how tired and geekish Im feeling, Im going to pick it up @ midnight from Gamestop. :icon26:

There's a huge catalogue of awesome games for the GC. I don't know what makes you think there's few good GC games. Just a short list of (mostly GC exclusives) for ideas:

- Resident Evil 0, 1, 4 and Code Veronica X
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
- Viewtiful Joe
- Paper Mario - The Thousand Year door
- 1080: Avalanche
- Eternal Darkness
- Serious Sam: The Next Encounter
- Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
- Mario Kart: Double Dash
- Super Smash Bros: Melee
- F-Zero GX
- Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker
- Mario Sunshine

And then there's a whole load of multiplatform titles that's available on GameCube as well

Serious Sam: The Next Encounter is multiplatform....

well, it hit the ps2 and the gamecube, but the ps2 version was really poor, bad frame rate and poor control. although it did have online support.

oh and id like to add that i got my PSP today, (yeah i know, i snuck it out of the store early) and its a damn fine machine, absolutly loving wipeout pure, racing bliss. cant wait for mercury.

I've got a DS with Mario DS, Polarium, Wario Ware & Zookeeper.
Of those 4 titles, Mario is the one that's getting the least playtime.
The other 3 are all titles that take advantage of the stylus, which is the real reason anybody should buy one.
Can't wait for more titles that take advantage of the DS' unique features, and in particular I've got my eye on Electroplankton.

So is RE:CVX and Viewtiful Joe and soon RE4 as well. I said "mostly GC exclusives". Viewtiful Joe is PS2/GC only and RE:CVX is GC/Dreamcast and maybe PS2 as well. Next Encounter is PS2/GC only.

Mat, since I hold your opinion on games in high regard, what do you think of Polarium? Is it as addictive as Tetris? Is it less good than Zookeeper? I own Wario Ware Touched and I'm looked for another game to get, but I'm not sure which game to get.

I'm kind of wanting a game with a storyline in it, which would limit me to Rayman DS (which supposedly isn't very good) or Mario 64 DS. But then again, these puzzle games hold my interest as well.

Polarium's fantastic, and will have you banging your head against the desk for days.

It's fiendishly hard, and the high score table is great for crushing egos. I've got to level 3, with a "D-" score so far :0
Then there's the puzzle mode, which you just can't stop thinking about.
It gives you as much time as you like to solve a set pattern in one go, a concept that sounds simple, but has your brain hooked and frustrated in a matter of minutes.

I don't know about the Netherlands, but over here, the price-point for Polarium is lower than other titles, yet don't let that fool you.
Along with Zookeeper, it's my favourite DS game.

The other thing to remember about the DS, puzzle games, and hell, even portables in general, is that you don't usually play games that are going to be marathon sessions; the best use of handhelds is for games that you can pick up and play for five minutes at a time, then put back down at a moments notice, and Polarium (along with Zookeeper & Wario Ware) is perfect for this.

Another thing to remember about the DS: Import games work with no questions asked. No mod-chipping, no softhacks, nothing, they just work.

That's pretty cool if you're impatient like me. I'm sorely tempted to buy an import version of "Catch! Touch! Yoshi!" / "Yoshi's Touch & Go", as it's getting very good feedback from my reliable DS contact.
