Pete, taking care of an 18 year old autistic woman must be remarkably draining for your gf.
I've got it lucky. Our son is on the other end of the spectrum. He has his quirks, but for the most part he's self sufficient. He has a job, cleans himself, does his own laundry, even occasionally cooks for himself. But we have to kinda keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't mess up too bad.

Good evening

I agree with you, no spamming or bullchitting in here.
This is a serious topic.

I don't wish to anyone to have to
live that experience. To see it on TV documentary has nothing
to do compare with living it in our everyday life.

I've been with my girl friend for 3 years, but she's been
living this kind of a nightmare for 15 years. Her doughter is
almost 18YO but it's only at around 3YO that her mother
noticed there was something wrong with her. She has had 2
other girls before and this one wasn't acting the same. Soso,
her nickname, never has talked yet, just yeld. She started
walking at 9YO. Around the same time she started trying to
formulate words. You have to adjust to her type of language
and listen well b'cause kipi can mean spaghetti, pipi or cut.

Every morning, she get dress 45Mnts before her school bus
arrive. Imagine, here it's still winter. She put on her coat,
boots and she waited for the bus sitting on her bed, watching
baby spice girls or caillou. From time to time she ask...
Ye où monsieur,ye où monsieur? Meaning were is the bus driver even if in fact that is a lady bus driver, at least 50 times, if we don't answer her, she start yelling as a monkey, I tell you it just sound the same, just louder.

Enough for now.

DUSTIN HOFFMAN is one of the greatest actor but you cannot
compare the movie to real everyday life, live, living in it.
It's not a movie anymore, it doesn't last just 2 hours, it's part of your everyday life.

My friend, most of the autistic person can't write or read.
Don't start laughing or don't pretend anything about it.
I don't wish this to happen to my worst enemy.
Read about it, if you don't care, just stop here.

Pete, how does your gf cope? I know that family members who take care of the disabled (mentally or physically) are strained greatly.

Hello MQ

Sorry, I've tried to figured out what gf meant. I didn't want
another laught at me but since you mentionned it again, I don't
care anymore. What does gf mean? Please.

Scourge, formaldehyde, Bdw3 and Saltybluecrakers helped me a lot with
translating everything since the beginning of my arrival in raw forum
at the time.

Thanks

My friend, I don't know what really happened to her 'aura'.
You never saw or read anything like this...

I am not sure if I have the right to post it here in this thread.
If I can't a moderator can move it somewhere else under
experience of life or something...

Read on carefully, this is a real story...Believe it or not.
PS; I don't want any bad remark of this please, even from the
most moron or ...of this forum.

My girl friend story start like this...

Born in a quiet small town, the seventh of twelve childreen.
At the age of 14, her mother forced her to leave school to help her with the younger kids.

Her father was a paint building contractor with a lot of time off.
You imagine already what happened.

She was almost replacing her mother in every way...Don't have to get into the details.

She finally got married to a nice guy, very brilliant ( not me ) and they had a beautiful girl. 2 years later, they had a head on car collision. She saw her husband crushed under the car died.

She then 2 years later met another guy. An alcoholic very violent with dope. Police every once in awhile was part her life.

From that jerk she had a first child that is still alive today.
That 23YO child is almost blind, almost deaf but still the worst part is,
or i don't know wich seems the worst to you...She had to go trought like 40 operations in her early age because she had no palate, almost no nose and even today her hands are shaped as lobster and her feet as duck.

Soso is from the same father.
I don't know if there is a link but...

Almost forgot to tell you the rest...Since we just want to forget about it...

That jerk wich she was seperated from for 6 months but kept coming back and kept cheating on her...Finally hanged himself and she is the one who found him after not seeing him for too many days...Necked all blue.

So, please, for the other thread in this forum about how to off your self...Think about your relatives and please consult.

Thanks for your interest.

I suppose she must be glad to have you to support her.

In Quebec don't they have special laws that protect children, the disabled, and impoverished? As in special government help.
