alright, you see I found out that if you hold the reset button on your router it'll fix all of your problems.

ay....

you reset the router, right? what did you enter for the username/password by default? the manual tells you two things.

riddla wrote:tip: tape your new router password on the bottom of the router. unless someone breaks into your house thats a decently safe place to keep it.

also, BEFSR41 is just admin/blank on initial login.
which is what i figured, but the manual shows this:

Well I have a BEFSR81 and by default I have to enter admin in both spots.
That's just retarded to have a password and no user name.

Well the only reason why I was commenting on this was that
I have that exact router @work.........

I know for a fact that all you need to access the router is the password
with the login left blank.

But that has been said way too many times already in this thread. :icon26:

The fact of the matter is that you haven't answered in this thread
yet if you needed to login with admin as login and password or
logged in the blank login and admin as password?

+JuggerNaut+ & I would just like to know this and the case is resolved. *teehee* :D

As for the rest of my comments about your settings in the router?
If it works its all good. Cool.

By the way I had to reset the router this very morning coming into
work. You went and jinxed me you know. *shakes finger @ I cant spell u* *lol*

We had quite a few power outages here last night with more than
2 trips back into work for me last night and this morning. Making
sure the guys reset all the motors and safety valves for furnaces.

When I got in this morning my boss was not getting his internet fix
after our trucks get out of here around 8:15am. I get in @10:00am
so he was here for quite a bit without internet!!!! Oh nO! :p

Luckily I had all my info on hardcopy ( printed out the pages )
with my ISP's info and ports I had opened. Did the button for 10 seconds
and then got the lights all back on.

I logged in with a BLANK login and password of admin.
BAM! I entered a new password immediately then all my info from
my ISP and all back up without delay my boss was taking my chair
so he could sit down and browse the net!!!!

LoL!

Story ended. Jesus!!!! That was a bunch of babble. Sorry for that guys.

Carry oN!

*back to work for me* *Waves*
