We harness magnetic energy all the fucking time. Do you understand how a hydroelectric dam works?!? :dork:
Yeah do you understand how the HYDRO comes into play in that particular example?
What the fuck are you moaning about?? Energy from gravity is converted into mechanical, which is converted into electomagnetic....?!

if you understood the point, let alone agreed with it, then you wouldn't make such a suggestion.

No matter what configuration you use, or which forces you harness, you cannot create energy out of nothing.

I don't understand why you think combining gravity and magnetism would somehow allow you to violate reality.

Well fuel propels a vehicle and like what's his name mentioned hydro power does move other objects enough to create energy despite the fact that it's just water falling because of gravity. Gravity, is still there, with or without the water, and the water finds a way to the top of the mountain on a pretty consistent basis through evaporation etc etc... So... Although it isn't permanent it is pretty long lived, so obtaining energy through natural means other than explosions (Gasoline) is possible.

It's not a PM machine, there's a finite amount of available energy in the universe.

krakus, how do u think the water gets back to the top of the mountains?

FROM THE FUCKING SUN.

Maybe that's how I can create a perpetual motion machine, by harnessnig the earths warmth I could cause water to flow down a tube to power a generator and then cause the water at the bottom to evaporate, go to the top, where a flow of cool water sits causing it to transform back into water which flows down the tube.

Oh yeah... Well that works too...

Kracus, it's pretty clear you don't have a consistent interest in any of the crap you spout here. It's fleeting at best, because if you actually gave two shits you'd pickup some of the lay-friendly physics texts out there and read them (gawd forbid).

you're not serious, are you

YOU CAN'T CREATE A PERPETURAL MOTION MACHINE. IT VIOLATES THE VERY BASIC LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS.

you know, when i was reading this thread i was thinking of this 'idea' people utter everyt once n a while and how utterly retarded its logic is.

i never gave you much credit, but i did give you more than that :dork:++

I realize that, but perpetual motion doesn't need to be thermal.

hehehehe just kidding on that one.

you're just not getting it.

go read something

Someone invented a pocket torch on solar energy.
Pity it only worked in full sunlight.

Perpetual motion?
The device is powered from changes in atmospheric pressure via a mercury barometer.
Cunt?

Qualifies in my book. I have no problems using the sun to create perpetual motion.

You can't even spell my name backwards properly, and worse, you think it's funny and you're calling me stupid? Don't worry riddla, if you want to get on the definition bandwagon and tell me the use of the sun doesn't qualify as perpetual motion go right ahead.I give a rats ass, really.

I on the other hand, think the use of a barometer to make a continualy functioning clock is amazingly clever.

I agree. I've got a wristwatch that runs off the motion of my hand. Pretty sweet.
