Yep, I recieved the notification that this update was ready today. Automatic updates are stupid anyway, so I just tell windows to list the updates available so I can download/install them at my leisure.
Needless to say, I didn't choose to download this "update", and if you choose not to, you can also stop it from notifying you in the future too. Pow!

Downloaded, installed and validated.

I got XP Pro sp2, XP64, and Office 2003 (Professional Enterprise edition) for free from my school, and I don't pay anything for my edu.

i cant remember if i gave her one of my keys or a keygen...

Giving your nearest and dearest illegal software seems about the most negligant thing you could do to them in terms of computing help.
They're basically trusting you to make the right decisions for them because they're not so well informed, and you pick the option that could land them in deep shit?

Oh crap. Now I remember an update right before turning off the computer and going to bed last night. I hope that wasn't it.

I got nothing over here. (Yes, automatic updates were activated and the computer was running.) Is this some sort of prank?

I have a legal copy (thanks, UNI) but can't use it as I'd have to reinstall and I can't be bothered. :E
