Pages needs help. As it is you can type papers with it and do formatting, but the basic tools folks need are not too accessable. They need to develop toolbars as opposed to the inspector and fonts pallets.

I use it because it's a shitload smoother than Word, and doesnt lag and chop when I type...ugh. I never thought such a simple computational task could be made so inefficient that it delays a dual 2.5GHz computer. Sheesh!

Yep, I'm a Mac developer with premier ADC access so I get seeds.

Well, that I can't really say. I'm sure the release date for April 1st is an April fool joke though.

it's also the founding day of Apple

I think it's wishful thinking by Apple Insider. Looking at the last DVD we got, there's still quite a bit to do and tidy up.
It must take them a day or so just to create a build (I know they have a compile farm), a few weeks to QA it for regressions and a couple more weeks to master the first set of DVDs.
I'd be surprised if it wasn't the "freebie" for the developers at WWDC, like they did with the iSight.

I wouldn't buy a Powerbook just now.
The G5 powerbooks (and iBooks) supposedly are in production already and should be out in a couple months.
I know it's just another rumor, but it sounds pretty reasonable.

That rumor has been floating around for about a year now.

I find the April 1st release date a bit suspicious.
