Lara Croft earns Guinness World Record
I didn't think it was sad getting banned. I thought it was fucking hilarious.
I know you'd think it was sad, the internet is your life, just like a whole bunch of nerds on here. You'd have written countless emails to the admins if you were banned. Guess how many I wrote? That's right, a big fucking zero.

no actually this is one of the few times he's 100% on the mark.DRuM wrote:No, MKJ does not have it right.
Tomb Raider 1 was an outstanding game, especially considering the hardware it was running on.
every subsequent game after that only lined pockets and gave 12yr olds another reason to yank infront of their computer.
The ONLY difference between tomb raider 2 and 3 was she wiggled her ass and could crawl. Even the levels were almost copies. so boring.

actually i was speaking from an objective point of view. if you do happen to like it, more power to you. the gaming industry itself begs to differ though, not just me.
i can post this novel about how the series got its success much the same way games like carmageddon and mortal kombat did (although MK is a bit of a odd duck in this one), but im sure its wasted on the fanboys.
also note that i dont have to resort to acting like an utter cunt to have a normal discussion. but thats just a sidenote

Well, I agree with MKJ 100%. The first game was/is a classic. I mean, some of the puzzles and set pieces in that game are quite genius. And yes, i'm talking about that alien/clone puzzle near the end of the game.... still one of the most imaginative momments in any game i've played.
But I spose TR1 was quite revolutionary at the time, and a sequel which revolves around the same rules and physics is never gonna impress as much. But still, the fact that I only completed the first game and got bored during the others does kinda say it all for me....
Tomb Raider Legend looks pretty good so far though. I'm less than 1% through it though, so that opinion is subject to change
