Never really understood why people have rodents as pets. Rabbits and guineapigs and such are boring as hell. They just basically eat and shit and then eat their shit.

I have a pet rat and he's easily as clever as a dog. He comes to his name, begs and sits up, rolls over and is actually far more entertaining than a smelly bastard dog.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Aye, I've read that rats are very smart, apparently chinchillas are too. My parents talk to him and play with him and stuff, so maybe he'll learn a few tricks soon

If they're anything like rats to train then it's pretty easy. Repeatedly give him a treat when he does something you want him to so he accociates getting a treat with a specific action.

Everytime i call my rat's name he comes because he thinks he's going to get a treat, he accociates his name with food. Same with his other tricks.

Yeah, rats are pretty smart so I can see how they can be fun to keep. So chinchillas are more like rats than like rabbits or guineapigs?
