I've been noticing something. The ref's aren't necessarily giving the games away (uconn still had to hit the 3 at the buzzer)...but, it sure seems like the teams that the markets (vegas, tv, etc.) would want in the game are getting there in some games. Like the refs are doing all they can to at least keep a team in the game...Maiden wrote:what crap.
5 guys foul out
ucon shoots 47 FTs to UW 23
no goaltending on Roy's shot
utter fucking crap
Yea, a few others see what I'm getting at:
"After watching many of the games, it almost reminds me of the point shaving scandal of the 1960's, but this time, instead of the players determining who wins, it's the referees. I've never seen such one sided officiating in my life. As far as the outcome of the tournament, it's probably already been planned, just as "Championship Wrestling" is. Case in point....the officiating in the Boston College/Villanova game. A player actually gets pulled to the floor by an opposing player and is called for traveling? A player gets mauled and there is no call? I saw the same thing happen in the Duke/LSU game. Of course Redick had an awful game, but the officiating was awful once again. UCLA/Gonzaga....a brawl with invisible officials. Next up folks, you'll see more of the same until you have your National Champion of Brawlball. Count me out, after tonight (3/24), I'll watch no more. It won't be the players that will determine who the National Champion is, rather, it will be the referees. The only way I'll see another game is if I'm asked to be a referee. Maybe the refs should trade their striped shirts in for orange prison coveralls. "
