They have dvd players that will upscale reg dvd's to 720, or 1080. Anyone tried these?

Forgive me if its been said but whats the priceage? Im looking for a new TV as mine flickers in 60hrz mode on 360 (But not in xbox or GC games...)

1080p however is a different story.
more fun is that most tvs have the HDReady logo on it while it doesnt even support 720p. it just has a HDMI input and that makes it "hd ready"

Well i cant say for sure but the Samsung TV we have at work (those 26" ones) are HD ready but dont actually display a HD signal...

1366x768?
720p is 1280x720 (hence the 720

), while 1080i is 1920x1080 albeit interlaced
so i guess its being upscaled a bit to fit the ratio :l

yeah, the one i'm getting has one installed. It'll be a good back up for when i'm upgrading my MC
