Well I just bought 2 games
DVD cases are a win/win situation for distributers - cheaper to manufacture and smaller for shipping and shelf space. Consumers pay the same price (if not more these days).
I still like the boxes. I actually miss the giant boxes that they used to have. I remember getting Starcraft and Homeworld in big full size boxes with a big fat manual, quick reference cards, and a bunch of other stuff. It was all part of the incentive to buy the game.

I like the DVD cases. Now they just need to jump to DVD storage.obsidian wrote:DVD cases are a win/win situation for distributers - cheaper to manufacture and smaller for shipping and shelf space. Consumers pay the same price (if not more these days).

hah, the generic q3w response to any ww2 game thread is "oh just what we need, another ww2 shooter". yet everyone buys it :icon32:
i recently bought Full Auto. great game, although the majority of the intardnet would make you believe otherwise

I was a bit fed up with the WW2 barrage a while ago, but it's been a couple of years since I played a WW2 game now. CoD2 got such good reviews and I wanted a game which would take full advantage of my new, shiny computer, so it fitted the bill perfectly.MKJ wrote:hah, the generic q3w response to any ww2 game thread is "oh just what we need, another ww2 shooter". yet everyone buys it :icon32:

I've played the first couple of Russian missions, and it's been great so far. Nothing new or particulary inventive, but good, solid action.
