It took me for-fucking-ever to kill him on that tower before it exploded because i was low on ammo. I finally got my aim down so well that I could tag him with two grenades and a few dozen rifle rounds.feedback wrote:Just beat it on professional. I died no less than 212 times. Probably 30-4o of those were fighting Krauser (saved with about 3 bars of health, I heard "prepare for your death, Leon!" way too many times. Another 50 at least during the helicopter part and the area right after it. Shit.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Oh, you're supposed to knife him. Same with the ogre guys, saves a lot of ammo.bitWISE wrote:It took me for-fucking-ever to kill him on that tower before it exploded because i was low on ammo. I love quake!
Finished it yesterday on normal, 23hrs, 50 deaths and about 50 saves.
I'm gonna prolly play it again on pro on the pc (which means I'll have to re-play normal) but it was fun. If it has mouse aiming on pc it will be a lot better, I won't have to die when trying to zoom on some mofo only to miss him by one pixel.
It'd be nice if they had a quick inventory button, they could of used the d-pad to switch weapons and use other inventory items, it was an action game afterall, could of gone all out and not have to deal with the case that much. And why can't you combine the same ammo types anymore. :icon34:

You could also trick them by running away from the charge so he gets his claw stuck in the wall... or stand back from far and use the rifle, they will slowly walk around and eventually turn around. Then run to the other side of the room and repeat.feedback wrote:hahaha, if I didn't know that it really would be impossible to get past them. The first time through on normal, it took me about an hour to get past that room, and I wasted a lot of ammo. The 2nd time on pro, I saved the rocket launcher from earlier, shot the gong closest to me, and killed both of them with one rocket when their backs were turned. I was so happy that I immeaditly left the room (I didn't move forward, so the doors didn't seal) and came back only to remember that the 30k gold they were carrying had just been lost because I was retarded. Oh well.Eraser wrote:Dunno if you realized this yet (I didn't until I got killed more than once), but they're blind. They're attracted by sound you make (that's what the big gongs are for). It makes it a damn sight easier.feedback wrote:and fighting the 2 wolverine-looking guys.
In the trap room I didn't fight him, used 2 shotgun blasts to open the door and took my tresure and got the fuck outta there. :s
