Well I just ran around the Undead spawn area and got to level 4 pretty fast...
Yeah I guessed that was the case, its like that in most rpgs isnt it? :icon32:DooMer wrote:You level faster when first starting out.
People are hitting 60 in 4 days game time now.. Hunters mainly..Pext wrote:yes... but you need about 10-15 days pure playtime to reach lvl60 with your first char.
Which is a shitload less than hitting max level in EQJackal wrote:DINGDINGDINGDING
GW is different though. It's far more casual. I've recently migrated to it myself and feel far less pressure to "get my hours in" when I play.MKJ wrote:while im reading this, the missus has been grinding through guildwars for the past 3 hrs
does that answer your question? :icon32:
The reason i cancelled my CoH subscription. :icon14:Jackal wrote:I'm also of the belief that if you ever ditch a gf, a friend, or work in favor of getting 4-6 of online gaming time straight then you have a problem.
i said _first char_ ... of course you level faster with a twink or if you get loads of support.SOAPboy wrote:People are hitting 60 in 4 days game time now.. Hunters mainly...
Of all the MMOs out there, CoH requires the least amount of consecutive playtime IMO. Log in, do a mission for 30 minutes, log out. Task Forces are a different story, but wholly optional.Ryoki wrote:The reason i cancelled my CoH subscription. :icon14:Jackal wrote:I'm also of the belief that if you ever ditch a gf, a friend, or work in favor of getting 4-6 of online gaming time straight then you have a problem.
Im married, have a kid under 2yrs, go to school full time, and work on the weekends. For me to get any kind of playing time I have to just stay up stupid late, 3am and that kind of shit. The kid goes down around 10, wife around 12, and then i get 3 or so hours in. On the odd occassion I dont have to get up I may just pull an all night thing and then sleep during the morning...Jackal wrote:I don't understand. 4 hours to run through 1 dungeon. And people do this multiple times a week!? I barely get 4 consecutive hours to do anything, let alone runthrough a fantasy dungeon looking for some magical shoulderpads.
This isn't a flame, I just don't see how you people manage to find the time to do this.

That's my problem. I only get to play maybe one night a week because I have a full-time job, a gf and I also run my photo business on the side. It's not fun.Jackal wrote:I don't understand. Do you people not have a job, friends, girlfriend, etc?

Why? Its not like I need the sleep, all my obligations are met and I hang out with the wife and kid after school/work until they go to bed? Works for me.Jackal wrote:That's sad.
Bitwise is closing in on 60 fast, its his first toon..Pext wrote:i said _first char_ ... of course you level faster with a twink or if you get loads of support.SOAPboy wrote:People are hitting 60 in 4 days game time now.. Hunters mainly...
MC can be ran once a week, ZG same, BWL same.. There all on raid lockout timers.. MC can be full cleared in 3-4 hours if your in a decent guild.. and since most guilds are still on MC, 4 hours a week, maybe 6 if you have a guild thats new to MC..Jackal wrote:I don't understand. I have time because I don't do anything else. I left my gf about the time I picked up the game (completely unrelated) and I'm tired of getting shitfaced every weekend. I come home from work, I play for a few hours, I do my homework, eat some dinner, and then play until I go to bed. The only regret I have is that I wouldn't mind doing more personal dev projects but oh well I'm having more fun with WoW at the moment.Jackal wrote:I don't understand. Exception to raid lockout, if you run the instance right before the reset on tuesday, you could get them all in again on wednesday.. but your DONE until next week..
And most if not all MMOs turn into jobs at end game.. its just how it is.. Dont like it, dotn play it.Jackal wrote:SOAPboy wrote:Bitwise is closing in on 60 fast, its his first toon..Pext wrote: i said _first char_ ... of course you level faster with a twink or if you get loads of support.

Ok, people need to read soap's post here very carefully.
It sounds, to me at least, that Soap is talking about a job here, not a game.
We always focus on the lives of soap and I...what exactly is it that the rest of you do that is so utterly time consuming?Jackal wrote:GW is different though. It's far more casual. Yea, its rediculous how much farming is part of the end game content.SOAPboy wrote:And most if not all MMOs turn into jobs at end game.. its just how it is.. Dont like it, dotn play it.Jackal wrote:SOAPboy wrote: Bitwise is closing in on 60 fast, its his first toon..
