By the way, why were so many dissapointed by the mp? Was it the gameplay or something?

I think one of the problems with MP was the fact that id weren't brave enough to enforce strict shadow cvars.

The game COULD have been interesting if you really could hide in the shadows, but more often than not, players would "tweak" the shadows away.

Hit sounds and AoE weapons also detracted from the whole "hide-in-the-shadows" gameplay too.

Also, I don't think that bog standard Deathmatch is the gametype best suited to stealthy gameplay. They shoulda taken a leaf from Splinter Cell and come up with something original, such as monsters vs. marines, where monsters are limited to melee attacks and have to creep up on players...

Tell you what, I've got a lot of shit ahead of me this week but once Thursday rolls in, download LMS3.0 (it's a great co-op mod) and join my Hell-Knight server. You got Xfire?

I did, only at the time it was 6 or 5.2 (screwy, yet kick ass setup with 2 Klipsch systems)...

MP just made me want to bang my head into the desk.
