Men, this machine is like a super Ferrari formula and it’s for gaming. Except for Medical or Scientifics researches, I always found it kind of ‘’bizarre’’ to see that the powerful PCs are for gaming. EG; The kid needs a powerful PC, while his dad needs only an old PC to do his work.

Now all they need to do is distribute an independent motherboard that supports dual sli and I'm set. :icon31:

Let's put this in simple terms.

When I'm running a 4 second quarter and it's possible to run a 3.89432567. I'm close enough to the top.

This isnt meant to be a knock on your desire YGP, but how do you get passed the almost immediate state of anything being out of date once you buy it if your always chasing the top of the line? Ive seen in another thread that you make decent money but, for me, pissing away that kind of money into hardware would start to nag at my brain. :p

Hey gramps, don't you think that hl2 looks great with transparency AA, with all those chainlink fences and all?

oh wait, you've got a last generation video card that doesnt feature transparency AA

I can tell you that it looks awesome on my 7800GT

I build a new PC about once a year and I might do a minor upgrade along the way. Lets say I spend $2500.00. That's not alot when you think about it. Think about all the other hobbies and what you would spend a year.

Golf...
$900.00+ for clubs (and you're alway upgrading)
$3.00 to $15.00 for five balls (you'll lose hundreds)
$35.00 to $200.00 in fees per round.

Hunting...
Gun, Ammo, Camouflage, Camping equipment or lodging fees, and travel expenses.

Fishing....
Fishing Pole, tackle, licences, live bait, boat, maitenance and fule.

Now think about what it would cost to get into things like car racing and motor cross.

I have an expensive hobby that I dump money into. But I'm no different than anyone else with one of the hobbies I listed above.

I wouldn't take a gigabyte board if they were handing them out for free. I'd much rather wait for a more reliable manufacturer to make one.

Thanks for the heads-up though, fag. :p

I'm not the only one buying this stuff. There are thousands of other people doing the same thing. Computers are my hobby and I've got the cash to fund my hobby.

Everyone has to have a hobby, right?
yeah, freakaloin's hobby is living under rocks and having sex with mannequins...
