Have you been giving her stretching techniques? usually the dominant male does during the gestation period by still copulating her. If the male isn't still around or you're not letting her see him, you should help her in place of him. Otherwise the birth of the kittens is extremely painfull for her, because her cervix hasn't been exercised during the time of pregnancy. You can do it with simple finger massages and rotations.

I am not sure if I should take this seriously but it make sense.
Don't expect me to practice that massage thing on her though, I'd wish there were some type of epidural analgesia for cats.

This sounds too ludicrous to be fictious. Regardless, I would check up on it before fingerbanging the cat.
