I still play Q3 FFA . Haven't touched Q4 in ages. Q4 is fun but it doesn't have the *magic*.

I actually played a few tourneys in X-Battle last week (like 7 in a row with the same person). I got owned for the most part, but at the end i was almost beating him at bl1p. I finally got a bit of the feel of Q4, meaning the slow and hard to hit RL, easy to hit nails (shoot at opponent's feet) and rails, hard gauntlet. Raven really castrated the pummy.
I actually got two kills with it by surprising my opponent when coming out of a tele and pinning him down, but it just sucks that it's so hard to strafejump at someone quickly and pummel him. Pummels just don't give any knockback either.
Q3 still does the trick for me, although for some reason 1.32 keeps crashing here suddenly. 1.30 and 1.31 still work, so i guess it's something PB-related.
Edit: PB indeed caused the crashes. Reinstalling it solved it.

I was just asking myself how we can keep Q3A alive.
Yesterday i played also some Quake4,but its not my thing.
For me the feel of Q3A isnt there.
And i did play multiplay. :icon25:
But i have good hope Q3A will always be there...... :icon31:
Q1 & 2 are both still availible in online games.

Although new ver. appears, the old ones don't suddenly die.
It will be some time untill q4 will be playable as much as q3.
In q4 i don't get the speed,the glamour from q3 ... Is like I'm a moving rusty tank without a crew, shoooting everything in sight...
In my opinion, q4 is not for Multiplayer.

Q4 is too dark and fake looking. Q3 is "real enough" while Q4 seems like a step in the evolution of lifelike realtime avatars. Sort of like version .1 of the holodeck.

I have the demo and i was wondering if i should buy the full version for like 5 bucks. (BTW can i find it at a department store?) I play freezetag a lot and yesterday i got 220 something kills and i guess im happy with the demo. Should I get full?
