no basement here, but our house is wierd (two-story, but on a hill innittt) so that could be why.

not many houses around Victoria, Australia have basements, at least none i've seen.

They are very common in Ohio. Split-levels are pretty common too.

I live in a basement in california, it flodded once, too. Here in San Francisco, there are a lot of basement apartments.

I was in San Diego for nearly 6 months and I dream about returning to Calif ever since but this time to stay.
Can you tell me how much is the cost of the cheapest house in the area, I am a handy man so I can fix it and how much is just an appartment to stay in the meantime? Also it doesn't have to be in the big cities, I know they must be pretty expensive. I had a small house in La Jollya and I loved it. Thanks
