I think you just forgot about the south side and the north one. Next time try putting cheese on one side and peanut butter on the other one.

The magnetism itself doesn't have anything to do with the diamonds being made, does it? I thought it was purely a matter of pressure that created diamonds.

And as a bit of a pedantic note, any discussion of forces falls under dynamics, or in this case electrodynamics. Kinematics is the study of motion without regard for the governing forces.
