Are you talking about error reporting?

no, since that's only sending out if you agree. not trying to pull a conpiracist theory here or anything. only guessing.Tormentius wrote:+JuggerNaut+ wrote:

duh, but you're missing the point. Microsoft acknowledges that alot of people are now using FF, so they implemented the plug-in for those users. it's a good move.AmIdYfReAk wrote: Also, there are allready workarounds out for Firefox inreguards to this, and theyve been out for months now. easly.
Yeah they now ask you to prove that you legitimately purchased the software they have spent many billions developing. The horror!AmIdYfReAk wrote:its more like proving it to microwank that it is, so you can download updates as well as other microwank software.

Firefox had more vulnerabilities than IE in the past year so its definitely not perfect either. As the percentage of users increase, so will the amount of attacks targetting it.bitWISE wrote:Here's an interesting point...most malware coders seem to target Microsoft products. So lets say that in 10 years they finally get us all to convert to Linux and Firefox. Do the coders now trash their own sandbox on princable?
i seem to recall doing this when i first got the PC, online, and i've never had an issue with updatesAmIdYfReAk wrote:its more like proving it to microwank that it is, so you can download updates as well as other microwank software.

lol, are you assuming that most malware coders are using linux/unix for their main OS? microsoft gets picked on because it's the most popular, that's it.bitWISE wrote: Do the coders now trash their own sandbox on princable?

yes because everyone else does it JUST LIKE THAT.Psyche911 wrote:Who cares (about FF working with WGA)?
If I format, I can use IE to verify my Windows copy since I probably haven't downloaded and installed FireFox again yet.
After that, I have auto-update on so I just get a notification when it's ready to install an update. I never open IE to update.
And before SP2 when I didn't use auto-update, I launched IE once a month or so to check for updates. Not a big deal at all.
