Is it bad that I can't imagine having a pub lunch without inhaling smoke with every mouthful? fukin ell I can't wait
It'll be nice to be able to get back from a night out and not absolutely reek of other people's fags.

don't get me wrong, i like tobacco - but having seen how effective it's been in ireland, i think a ban's a great idea.

I was smoking in preschool. I was the coolest 6 year old ever.

"(The ban) won't stop people from smoking - the people, who remain smoking are those who choose to ignore the medical advice and make that personal choice."

pardon me but who the fuck do people think they are when they can start telling a private business what LEGAL products are allowed.
My chainsaw is legal, but they don`t want me in bars/clubs with it. Only pubs. Go figure...

it should be the owners decision wether the bar should be able to smoke or not, having someone dictate what a premisis can and cant do is bullshit

Except that it's historically true that non-smokers put up with smokers habits in public places, mainly becuase it's just the way things are.
Businesses are out to maximise profit, and few are willing to exclude smokers becuase this will mean losing their business.
You're just reaching for an argument because you're addicted and don't like the idea of having to abstain while socialising. Why even bother to make lame arguments?

*Serious health impact.
*Damaging to those around you.
Yeah, it's just 'cus you like to'. I sound like an anti-smoking campaign, which is a shame. But it's so fucking simple you can put it in a few bullet points, and it's airtight.
