Really though, I doubt you'd have to return it. Most unlock with no problems.

hate, to be sure, run a recorded game of Q4 looped for a good number of hours. This sounds like a good way to test the stability of your unlocked card.

from what i read
if minor artifacts occur
it won't affect stability

Thanks for the info, guys. That explains a lot.
So would the 6600GT be better than the 6800 pre-unlocking?
Posted: Sat Oct 22, 2005 5:01 am
by SoM
no, because of the 6800 being 256 bit

eVGA's are nice too, it all comes down to finding one with the price/features/bundles etc. you want..
i went with BFG cause of 24/7 customer support and
LIFETIME warranty

so if the fan fries the bitch i get a new card..

Yeah I got a BFG 6800 GT OC because it comes right out of the box overclocked with a lifetime warranty.

Question:
Will my radeon 9600 be able to run two monitors? I recently acquired a second screen, and i'm trying to figure out whether i just need a bit of cable that splits shit up, or an entirely new video card, and one of those funky cables. Or perhaps just a second video card, and kind of stick it in with my old one. Is that a good idea?
....God i suck at teh tech stuff.

indeed.
hes not very tech savvy though, so he;d prolly not recognize a dvi output as an actual place to hook up a screen; with or without a converter
