Dude I mean the copter would have retractable wiring so that when you push forward there is resistance pulling back on it. When you relax your arm the stick autocentresand the cabling would AUTO adjust to correct for forward motion and level the chopper out.

It aint exactly hard to do is it?

I assume you're talking about an adjustable trim for pitch controls. In which case no, not all helicopters utilise that. One of the obvious reasons is windy conditions.

...... I dont know what the tech name for it is.... all I know is that with computer power these days especially military computers. Helicopters should be able to hover on their own without constant adjustment from a pilot and they should also be able to autocenter on their own to if the option is enabled.

not in a chopper.

Thats why I am finding it hard to believe that auto centering aint applicable as well. My little plane didnt have autocenter on it but it would level itself out over a couple of miles and would also go into flight control mode (kinda autopilot where it raises prop speed automatically and auto adjusts flaps) if the plane was about to stall unless it was over-ridden manually.

Besides your talking about flying a little 50k plane in comparison to a multi-million dollar chopper. Hardly the same thing.

as I said its hard to believe that there aint a single chopper out there that has an automatic centering mode. I mean what if you got into some serious shit and just needed the damn thing to hover on its own whilst you say, put out a fire in the cockpit?

You can do it on planes so why not on choppers. christ some planes even take off and land on their own

Yes, some helicopters do indeed have auto pilots. But the ones I know of only function while in forward motion. You still have to control the hover yourself.

…and ffs is an action game not MS flight sim. Frustrating as it may be, you'll have to land to grab your beer. :(

Okay. I didn't read it that way, and reading it back I still can't interpret it in that way either. But fair enough. Back to a midway quote:
I assume you're talking about an adjustable trim for pitch controls. In which case no, not all helicopters utilise that. One of the obvious reasons is windy conditions.
I guess that clears things up.

No sweat, it took me ages to learn how to fly them in Desert Combat, but once you get used to it you get good at it real fast. :)

The blackhawks.... them I can handle bu tthe cobras and shit.... I go straight up start to go back a little so over correct WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much and end up doing a yo-yo in the sky back and forth back and forth then, obviously, I get a little sideways motion going, over correct again and end up in the drink.

almost everytime.

Just do what shiznit said..play on servers with admins present if possible to minimize the amount of hacking bullshit you'll deal with.

Exactly, sometimes its the only way. Its pretty sad when server admins start kicking ppl for the dumbest reasons. As long as they arnt cheating anything goes.

It's just like Desert Combat, but with the new Commander function (if you get a good commander) is awsome, supplies drop from the sky that give you more ammo and health, point artillery shells on the enemy, UAV shows you where the enemy are for a short period of time. and the enemy at anytime and move in and disable these commander functions so the commander has less power and the enemy has a better chance of winning.

I think it's a step up from just claiming a flag.

BF2 is starting to irritate me a little... mostly because there are no teamplayers to be found in pub servers, anywhere. At all.

Old complaint, i know, but it's goddamn annoying.

Once in awhile you'll join a squad that's decent, actually uses voice com and knows what the hell they're doing. Makes the game much more fun, but it's worth playing even at other times.

yeah well its mroe so considering that its pretty much a team player game

there aint a single player element to it at all..

everytime I go get a chopper and airplane. When I arrive at the hangars I find 10 people bombing and shooting each other so tht they can fly...... its retarded.

I can't quite fly the choppers to well with my mouse, as i seem to end up drifting backwards on an angle and dieing :D however i can fly the jets and blow shit up like i'm maverick out of top gun, cool hey?

As for other comments tnf, i know your pain man. .. the vehicle whoring for kills gets insanely boring and ruins the game, along with the clans joining 1 team on a server etc filling there stats up, cunts.
