I liked Hextall too. He reminds me of Billy Smith.

But I didn't like it when he chopped the lumber across one of our guy's arms who happened to skate by after a whistle (another Billy Smith move). Great goalie but just a little loopy in the head.

Vokoun is our goalie, he's not bad.

I was in the attack zone, right behind the goal about 6 rows up, awesome seats.

On one of our drives to the goal, we hit the Sharks' goalie in the head with a straight shot and he was down for a few seconds. I was afraid it might have hurt him, but he got back up and played the rest of the game - but there was only a couple minutes left at that point anyway.

yer, he was a little out there, but next to Brodeur, he was the best puck handler.

What all has changed? The only thing I know about is less space behind the goal.

they went back to alot of the 80's glory.
* deleted the 2 line pass (thank god) - which was a stupid rule that stipulated you couldn't pass the puck accross 2 lines. like if a defense man gets a turnover he previously couldn't pass accross his own blue line, and the center line. it kills breakaways having that rule... but its now gone.
* shrunk the goalie pads a wee bit.
* offsides is no longer a whistle, if you're off you can do like the old days, and simply go out and back in.
* mauling the guy as he trys to skate down the ice is now actually going to be called. (hooking calls were pretty far and few between in the old rules)

^^ those are the major points.
and i definately noticed the difference.
its not more like footie. When you hear a whistle, its for a penalty... not just random bullshit stoppages.
