Well let's use a different characteristic for basing our opinions of the intelligence of US citizens. How about the percentage of people who believe evolution is false?StormShadow wrote:So your judging us based on the intelligence of our gas pump attendants and waitresses? Lol.I've met and the hundreds of waitresses/store clerks/gas pump attendants I've met over the years in the US I would say 85-90% are completley fucking clueless.

Some are pretty smart, some.. not so much.
In many cases, I consider them the same thing. The fact that some people can argue for teaching creationism in a science class is beyond ignorance.StormShadow wrote:Well is that stupidity or ignorance? But that was just one example off the top of my head; I wasn't really trying to get into it.

Right, but that does not represent the average american. Sure SOME people are fucking idiots, but guess what, you have idiots on your side of the pond as well

I'm not one to say some statistic inclusively represents everyone, but the MAJORITY of Americans believe creationism should be taught. So it does represent the average American. I'm not trying to be biased against the US, though -- I do believe most of the world is quite dumb.StormShadow wrote:The fact that some people can argue for teaching creationism in a science class is beyond ignorance.

This whole thread is the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.
(btw -- I'm American)
