what happened after quake 3 was doom3

which everyone already seen everything for (vids, pics and even the leak) and wondered why they thought it was 'same old'

i thought doom 3 was awesome, for me it wasnt action it was the whole atmosphere and it is the 1st game ever to make me jump

i dont even try comparing it to half life because that would be like comparing a horror film and an action

thats my opinion anyway

Worst AI I have seen in quite a while. totally REACTIONARY AI. I sat for ten minutes throwing a can at a guard and running away. You would get 100 feet he would turn around and head back. I shot my CO-NPC in the face.... nothing. I shot, radio's. TV's, Boats, Doors....... nothing happened.

I ran through the levels without firing a shot........

The graphics Sucked, The gameplay sucked, the story line sucked, the characters names sucked *Gordon FREE-man ..... wow original.....

In fact it was probably one of the worst games I ever played and I stress the word WAS as it is now consigned to the recycle bin both in my computer and in my kitchen.

Just because something has pretty polygonsit doesnt mean it has good graphics. Believability of the world = good graphics.

Christ Super Mario on the SNES had better Graphics than that game.

I pulled Killen Gillen up over this last year with his sycophantic review of the abysmal Deus Ex: Invisible War, but he swore blind that he would never accept bribes as he would no longer be taken seriously as a journalist and it would tarnish his image if he did.

Guess he was right all along.
I really don't take him seriously as a journalist anymore (not that reporting on games is real journalism in the first place).

there were about 8 people "free" enough in the first game.
i did always think 'gordon freeman' was a bit too close to 'morgan freeman', btw. they shouldve just called him john freeman or summat
