Brisk is using Aimbot deluxe 3000 that came with a bundle for Q3A.Don Carlos wrote:now brisk has said its shit, i for one shall not download it
My thoughts exactly.brisk wrote:Jesus Christ, if it jerked any harder my monitor would bleed semen. I couldn't even finish the demo because it got so bad. And I played around with the graphic settings, and it didn't do much either. Its not like i've got a shit system (AMD64 3000, 1024GB RAM, ATI X800 PRO etc...) but in its current state its pretty much unplayable for me.
And it looks like another dumb console port. The control configuration is stupid, and it took me about 15 minutes to even get mouselook working properly.
The graphics aren't so bad, but if HL2 and D3 can look better and run smoothly, there is no reason why an inferior looking game shouldn't be able to do the same.
What a mess.
I think that's exactly the point he was making.MKJ wrote:thats a bit unfair. Serious Sam Xbox is more polished, balanced and more complete than the pc version.Mr.Magnetichead wrote:
Thanks Cro. Thanks for ****ing us over like so many other companies by making games for consoles and then porting them to the PC. (Badly)
i played it at maxed settings @ 1024x768 no AA and it was smooth..brisk wrote:Jesus Christ, if it jerked any harder my monitor would bleed semen. Had mine auto set the graphics, and it ran choppy as hellSoM wrote:i played it at maxed settings @ 1024x768 no AA and it was smooth..brisk wrote:Jesus Christ, if it jerked any harder my monitor would bleed semen. My biggest gripe is that it feels just like UT2004. It's got the same "floaty" slow movement, and all the weapons lack that "oomph" that the weapons in all the Q3 engine games has.

You think leaving the PC version less well finished as opposed to the console versions is a good thing?MKJ wrote:he said it like its a bad thingFoo wrote:I think that's exactly the point he was making.MKJ wrote: thats a bit unfair. Yeah ok buddy..o'dium wrote:Hmmm... just got the demo, not to in love just yet...
It just feels to old, ya' know? Enemies dont flinch whe nyou shoot them, bright red blood clouds, weapons dont even cock back when you fire, enemies have animation just like Quake 3... Hell you could fool somebody into thinking you were playing Quake 3.
My frame rate just wasn't consistent with what I was seeing either... Its not drawing that much. HDR and bloom worked fine and smooth, but even with them off, it just looked exactly the same.
Gameplay wise, it was a lot like theo lder games, but i couldn't help but think "DE 2" when i started playing. The horrible woman voice with the shitty weapons shooting at wooden enemies...? Its all so 1995.
Ill give it another try tomorrow, I am quite tired, but it has let me down a little bit thus far.
