silent hill

9/10

what a great movie. this is the first time, as far as i know, that a movie based on a game can actually stand on its own without the viewers having to have any prior knowledge that there is a game.

I went with a few friends to see Lucky Number Sleven recently. Each of us thought it was really good, however there were a noticable few leaving the theater that absolutely hated it.

I'd say its one of those movies you either really really like, or you really really hate.

I did see a lot of people leave during the first Kill Bill. Especially after the animation bit.

it was LOL until just past the halfway point. then boom. sap.
I couldn't agree more, they ran out of jokes with about 40 minutes to go and kept that stupid relationship thing going until the end with no funny whatsoever.

I thought it was great but I don't necessarily agree with your statement. A lot of people I saw the movie with (and a lot of people around from what I was hearing) were pretty confused by the whole thing.
Great friggen movie though. Pyramidhead was fucking awesome. He should of been in it more.

it was bound to confuse people. especially those who expect a wes craven horror flick where everything is clear as day and doesnt require you to think and interpret.

Hostel 8/10

Best horror flick i've seen in years.
++ Lots of nudity, good makeup, acting was decent, it actually has a plot, good featurette on the DVD.

-- not as bloody as I was expecting.

i'll have to see silent hill this week... that looks fucking awesome.

Speaking of leaving the theater, some idiot brought her kid to see Silent Hill. They had to leave after the freaky shit started up in the movie because the kid was scared shitless and started to cry.

almost too close to the game. bit too much stopping and starting but otherwise great stuff. the leading lady had fantastic boobs.

true... i found this whole relationship thing in the end a bit mediocre ~ stuff like this has been on screen a bazillion of times.

btw: did anyone read the imdb forums for this film? lots of virgins in there :smirk:

Haute Tension.

Not a bad Horror, pretty crappy dubbing though. Varied opinions on ending.

The 40 year old virgin.

Very amusing, dragged on slightly but not enough to put anyone off enjoying it.

Empire 6/10

Amusing enough i guess. Haven't figured out whether it was the pilot for some kind of new series or a movie i'd never heard of. Clearly inspired by Scarface.
