Can't really see why people like this so much. I haven't really read any of the books though, but from what I've seen in the movies, the story isn't all that good. Plus I can't stand when kids are the main characters. Narnia can fuck right off too.
The books give so much more detail and background.

Read them!

band of brothers 7/10

never got around to watching it all before, good stuff.

the missus said it was horrible, violent and went on for too long. so i guess it succeeded at making her understand something about the war.

The show, and Gaius Baltar in particular is awesome. Can't wait for Season 3
yes. for some strange reason Gaius gives me a hard on. i think it's his hair.
It would probably be quite embarrassing for me to admit how much time I've spent trying to make my hair look like his.

The Dark

I really don't know why they changed the title from Sheep (the name of the novel, which i now plan to read)

I really enjoyed it, fairly nice plot twists and with a good scare here and there. Plus it was a pretty good story. 8/10

King Kong 7/10
Some of the action scenes were fucking brilliant, but NOT the brontosaurus stampede. Even that was still entertaining.
The fight with the giant insects at the bottom of the canyon was SO well done, because the music was so very subdued. It was fucking creepy.
That said, the ending was fucking GAY. I'm referring to Jack Black's last line. Overall I really enjoyed the movie, didn't feel as long as it was, kept me very entertained the entire time. To me it speaks volumes that you can watch a 3 hour and 5 minute film and not say "Fuck this is long!"

Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire - 6/10

as usual, densely textured with CGI, and seemingly edited by someone with ADD. the script was bollocks, but ralph fiennes made a good voldemort

Flightplan - 6/10

long pauses in the dialogue and sucking the colour out of the print may have SEEMED like a shortcut to arthouse excellence, but it JUST ISN'T. and good job creating characters no one could possibly care less about

other than that, watchable

yea from what i understand they suck the color, crush the blacks, and blow the whites, cause its makes easy and cheap compressed editing.

or nah

Lucky Number Slevin

Fantastic, and sadly largely overlooked because of the non-catchy naming choice.

I encourage anyone who can still find it on at a cinema to go and see it.

Bears more than a passing resemblance to Cypher for anyone that dug that film.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Quite a suspenseful thriller. I liked the whole courtroom aspect rather than just an exorcism horror movie. I'm interested to find out how much was actual fact.

Eh, I remember seeing the movie in the theatre and being kind of disappointed just because of how much of the movie took place inside of the courtroom. The whole courtroom aspect of the movie seemed like it would just build up suspense (like when people are telling their stories), then just kill it before it could result in anything by returning to the courtroom. Good movie, but I was expecting more of an Exorcist type horror movie.

6.5/10
