No, there isn't. You have to be REALLY slow with driving or it falls out...

I did it in the end though.

and why would i wish to do this?

i could see the point of carrying dog's combine ball thru ravenholm (it distracted zombies and squashed headcrabs in the mines) but i don't see the point of this

nearest thing i've ever done is carrying the ravenholm sign all the way to the first buggy map

Soap I'm not even gonna try and tell you why 360 points > HL2 built in things that dont matter.

DB, I stopped at around the 9k mark trying to get points just so I could say I had them. I know somebody who has 50k points. THATS pathetic.

The point I was trying to make (And that soap is right too, in a way, its just more of a closed "valve/steam only system), is that these things add replay value to a game.

Do you really think I would of played Quake 4 SP a few times other wise? Or HL2 episode 2, its a short game, why go back? What about all those Cog tags? They do nothing but we all got them all? Why? They dont give you anything?

They add new things to try out, and make the game longer. You know its true, so shut it fatty.

Just finished Ep.2. Another disappointing HL2 ending. Whats the status on the next chapter? Probably years until it will hit the 360.

Spoiler below:

I hope there will be some new enemies in the next one. And it was ironic to see a black guy killed with a giant white cock from the advisor.

I used to think that you could buy shit off the market place with those xbox points. You can't, making them pointless, and whoever actually goes out of their way for them HUGE pathetic fucking fags.

its a checkmark showing that you accomplished something that might be hard to do within a game and a measuring stick to see what others have done.....who wouldn't try to get them? I admit there are some really fucking stupid ones that just prove that you wasted a huge amount of time...but there are cool ones also.

Like I said, Episode 3 will be set in the Arctic, so that will at least make the game look different. Enemies wise, the combine need to be there, but most things like antlions wont be able to go there...

Funny... Killing aliens and marines in an Artic base... Sounds a lot like The Thing... Which can only be a good thing?

i've got to say i'm impressed as fuck with Ep2. i'm glad valve stuck with the tools they had and gave themselves a chance to really show what they do with them

the white forest sections are great fun and overall the level design is pretty fucking sophisticated (speaking as someone who maps for source, i can appreciate the labour that went into making these things)

also, i have a feeling the story arc for HL2 Eps was planned out as long ago as whenever they started HL2 (i.e. there are metal door materials in HL2 called 'borealis' that look like they came from a ship or sub, and now we discover the borealis is actually a ship)

11/10

If I remember correctly, HL2 was originally supposed to start on a ship called the Borealis, but it was obviously scrapped. Interesting to see that they got to put it back into the game, and flesh out the story fully.
