I've read stories of Yngwie acting like an asshole, and I can certainly understand why people think he's arrogant from the way he talks and acts sometimes. I think it's as much an image he created himself though, and he seems humbler now that he's older.

Moreover, I will definitely check out your playing on said CD. And again: I like to listen to different kinds of music - even Jazz (as pretentious as it is).

Just to sum it up a little bit: You dont like Yngwie because he's a "douchebag". Ridiculous, but it's your opinion. After being asked if you know him, you say it's common knowledge that he's a "douchebag". Which makes your point even more ridiculous. Now, you're saying: "Listen to his music! What a douchebag!!". I fail to see a coherent logic in this trail of 's and actually, I'm more than fed up with this type of discussion.

On a personal note: It's hard to imagine you being a pro-musician. But if you are, I stand corrected; which does not make my points less valid. Oh, and of course I listened to Yngves music. I fail to see where his style makes him a "cunt" or a "douchebag".

Well, I certainly understand where these stories come from and to a certain degree they are probably true. But voicing an opinion on second-hand media-bullshit and image is not okay. At least it's not okay when you're behaving exactly the same. Just like Big K. Burger does.

why can't i dislike yngwie for being a douchebag? you dislike jazz because the players are douchebags. (or at least find it "pretentious")

also, i don't really dislike him for for being a dick, i find him pretentious because he plays patterns really fast which really takes away from his real musical ability which i haven't heard but i'll take your word for it

I did see the Sun Ra Arkestra last year (sans Sun Ra obviously). They were phenomenal. Marshall Allen, who directs them is fucking amazing. He's over 80 but he was jumping around the stage like a young man.
