Honestly, I think your neck looks that way cause of all the sun you're getting. It's looking a lot like the skin of a 60 year old woman that has laid in a tanning bed her whole life. Leathery and rough. Use sunscreen, Geoff. Skin cancer is no joke...

Just take the fence down. What privacy could you really need or have at this point? You practically live on top of your neighbors...

The fence is to stop gawpers. Geoff's sick of being mistaken for Misao Okawa, the world's oldest man.

Why not replace the bamboo with some nice screening? Too poor?

Geoff, rip that bamboo down and buy some more wood that you used on your deck as your privacy wall. Stagger the boards to give it some character. It'll look good...

screen and such should only be a stopgap ey

some wichita junipers on the outside of the fence would be ideal

buy more of them than you need and make like a staging area for extras that you can digup and move where you want later when theyre big
it is about time!

Yes. Compare them to this...

Even when it was brand new that bamboo looked like shit. Hire a minority so you can have some taste dumbo.

Anyone know why Geoff is using 10 different styles of wood? Being poor isn't an excuse for a lack of taste.

That's what I've been trying to tell him. The deck is one wood, the steps are another, the privacy fence another, and then whatever the hell that other thing is. Hideous!

Not to mention, two different color rugs, none of which match the pillows. Then he has the furniture and other large container made out of what looks like black wicker. WTF? Where's the class, Geoff?

Everything's different because it's been bought off the shelf as and when they've decided they need it. In other words, they initially did this on an extremely tight budget, and couldn't afford to hire a proper designer, and they don't have the talent to do it themselves.

If you can judge society by its prisons, then you can judge peasants by their pools.
