The French are still a target of the groups, the attackers have not been caught. The point I was getting it is even though the reasoning behind the attacks were similiar the wider picture is very different. Ok, preventable tragedies and it was enough of a reason to come to an agreement with the IRA, elevating one of its leaders to a cabinet member in the current government.
The news over here has just finished showing their reels of the lorry catching fire in the channel tunnel FFs, asking questions and demanding answers, what will be changed etc all over traffic disruption. This has happened once before and you wonder why questions are being asked after high profile citizens in a major world capital were murdered in cold blood that included a shoot out with the police ?

Cos I did, there was an inquiry, it was seen as the governments fault and people lost their jobs after a shake up of the current system. It was not an accepted tragedy with only 1 person to blame who is now serving his sentence. Justice = served.
It's true that 1 mans group of terrorists is another mans group of freedom fighters, I can go back to the IRA with this, but not in this case.
