Nah, L4D always had dedicated servers, you just couldn't choose which server you wanted to play on, and were randomly assigned one.
They patched in the ability to open the server browser, which players had found they could do themselves by altering config settings.
L4D defaults ot peer-to-peer if it can't find a server for your group, but it does ask you if you want to accept this or continue searching for a dedicated server.

I've just got a lot of other games to play Ryoki. I'm sure I'll play L4D2 when it comes out, but there's so many other cracking titles out at the moment, it's hard to dedicate myself to any one game.

Yeah, Trine's a great little game. Real charm, and a nifty play mechanic. I hardly ever used the Knight though.

too bad they destroyed the mp, but at least it's worth a download seeing that there's a sp level where u get to play as a terrorist and kill civilians in mass at an airport...good times...
