I think of drugs that affect mental states the same as drugs that affect physical ones. It's well known that there are drugs that enhance performance in many aspects, be it athletic or even simple mechanical motions. Mind altering drugs do the same for certain aspects of human thought is my theory.

People who are connected with neural pharmacology tell me that new classes of drugs will be available relatively shortly, certainly within the decade. These drugs are just like natural chemicals inside people, only with behavior-modifying and performance-enhancing characteristics. One of the people I talk to jokes that a future intelligence problem is going to be knowing what drugs the other guys are on.
(this is within a military context)

but yea - drugs definitely have mind performing enhancing abilities.

Caffeine and ritalin are two examples

im not saying drugs are wrong im just saying that they dont solve anything and most of the times cause more problems.
haha... wtf do you think a doctor is going to do other than fill you full of drugs that cost 20x more and do little more than wrap a big scarf around your brain.
Excellent point, excellent point. I agree with your enlightened :olo: opinion :olo: that drugs copped off a street vendor, because they are cheaper, are a better solution than fda-approved medications prescribed by a professional.
Yeah, just ask all those folks that have dropped dead after taking Vioxx, a drug that was approved by the FDA and prescribed by professionals.

Ritalin excited the vasporine gland inducing a calm and focused state of mind, however in exciting this gland it damges it through over working it and the long term affect is the opposite of the desired effect.

In short, we dont know dick about mind drugs or the mind.

Funny, you just explained something you seem to know about the mind and the drugs that affect it.
