Game of Thrones Season 7
Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
Nothing will beat that, BSG came close, that is unless they do a Branoloop.
It is daft as holey shit that they couldn't do a full season and just fill it with travel fodder, just to provide some transition. Would've been way, way better if Greyworm was like where the fuck is the Lannister army yo ?, then 2 eps later be like holy crap bumfuck.
I mean Arya and the Hound, Jaime and Brienne spent the better part of a season walking and that gave some of the best moments.

Yes, the time scales for things are ridiculous at the moment. It's sloppy; why not just do another series and get the pacing right?Memphis wrote:so, we all seen it? can we agree the screen-writing is some fucking amateur hour bullshit?
looking liable to end like another Lost at this rate
Other than that, the actual events are fucking mega.

But if you take all of the guff out, it's still pretty god damn entertaining
Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?... what?... oh you are... carry on then, so sorry.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
lol yeah why didn't dragons run out of fire how do swords burn how can dany command dragons if they're too far away to hear her? how do zombies swing swords with no muscle on bare bones? how did they march so far without having to poop? how did they survive without hats? why does John still have knife scars and how does his organs work if they're still damaged like his skin?
PRETTY PAINFUL TO WATCH

Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
Man, what a disappointing episode.
There were just too many coincidental things happening to push the plot forward.
Dany's teleporting dragons, Benjen, a main character falling in the water and climbing out again, Thoros being sacrificed because, well, some main character had to die, so let's pick the least popular one for that.
I most enjoy the Arya/Sansa/Littlefinger stuff because so far it doesn't appear predictable.

It's all going to shit
Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
Oh yeah and what happened when Gendry ran away? Was he wearing Nike Air Max which allowed him to run faster than the rest of something? Why didn't they just all run?
Also, why the wildling redshirts? Srsly. Didn't even notice they were there until one of em died and I finally figured out it wasn't one of the mains that got killed.

I've been thinking though. People complain about the white walkers taking so long to reach the wall. I think the Night King might have some sort of power similar to Bran. He probably knew that the Westeros all-stars would come down to pluck a Wight off his ranks. He waited and trapped em on purpose. Why else waste so much time surrounding them instead of killing them (he's an Olympic medalist spear thrower)? He waited for Dany to come with her dragons so he could steal one and use this dragon fire to breach the wall.

In one of the scenes , there's a dock with chains starting @ 1:9:45 (but you can see the dock better @ 1:10:15) Would've felt a little more deliberate if you could see the dock in a prior scene, before the "pulling the dragon out with chains" bit, but whatever.Memphis wrote:
Where the fuck did the gigantic-ass chains come from?

Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
so killing the white walker that made them kills the wights. right. following on that logic, killing the night king would kill all the white walkers (since he created them as babies with his magic fingernail). brann could mention that the children of the forest created the night king by shoving a piece of magic blade-shaped rock into his chest, and suggest that the way to kill the night king would be for jon snow to reach in and pull out that piece of rock before dany blasts it with dragon fire to finish the job off. ideally they should do this just as they're about to lose the war, for maximum drama
season 8 finale confirmed!

That was the biggest eye roller for me, when it was pretty much explained to the camera.seremtan wrote:so killing the white walker that made them kills the wights. right. following on that logic, killing the night king would kill all the white walkers (since he created them as babies with his magic fingernail). brann could mention that the children of the forest created the night king by shoving a piece of magic blade-shaped rock into his chest, and suggest that the way to kill the night king would be for jon snow to reach in and pull out that piece of rock before dany blasts it with dragon fire to finish the job off. ideally they should do this just as they're about to lose the war, for maximum drama

Anyone see the eyes open on Jons sword as he jumped out the water ?, I wouldn't pay much attention but the camera work does make it seem a little intentional.

Coincidence ??
Some are saying its Branovision and why Benjen turned up
^ fan theory, but I put it in spoilers just incase its close to the mark and explained at another time, probaly bollocks though.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
This was mentioned on Reddit but was quickly dismissed by people on account of the eyes being some kind of diamond or something so it being nothing more than a refraction of the light as jon snow emerges from the waterlosCHUNK wrote:

Edit: just saw this where the director of the episode says it wasn't intentional:
http://www.businessinsider.com/game-of- ... &r=US&IR=TRenfro: Another thing people are obsessing over is this weird moment with Jon Snow's sword, Longclaw, where people thought the eyes of the wolf "opened" right before Jon came out of the water.
Taylor: That is so funny, somebody else mentioned that to me and I haven't got a clue what they're talking about. So either this sword is magic and it's doing stuff on its own or something happened. I'm going to have to go back and watch that moment close up and in slow motion to see what's going on there. I can say that there was no intention for that to be the case.
Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
Thanks my man, figured maybe it's too obscure to mean anything but there was a lot of focus on the sword which made me think otherwiseEraser wrote:

some people just have too much time (and jizz) on their hands
Re: Game of Thrones Season 7
Listen up nerds, they ran out of books and have to tie all this shit up in a few episodes on bullet points. Obviously is not going to be as thought out or have the juicy dialogue written for them in the books. Time to stop nitpicking and enjoy the fan service.
