That's because you park your car 5 minutes down the road so your neighbours don't find out you drive a Kia :olo:

It's already got 80k on it. Has had no problems at all... She didn't want to spend more than 40k and she just liked that car the most of what was in that range. We have 4 car notes... Shit adds up. Plan is to give the KIA to the son, lose a note then she will buy some luxury by bullshit.... About the same time I can ditch the minivan and dominate the roads.... Scared?...

I get it. Family life requires sacrifices. I know cause i also bought a kia once upon a time.

Thing is it was hands down the worst car I've ever ridden followed closely by a Mazda 3. That said i live in canada and you don't so maybe without the freezing cold your kia might last longer than 1 year. (That's seriously how long I kept it. )

I'm not saying Kia is the best or anything. But my parents (mom retired at 35, stepfather retired at 50 and currently own two golf course homes) bought a Kia Optima that was pretty nice. It performed great and had all the luxuries of higher end cars at a lower price. So the car you drive isn't always a direct reflection of your bank account. Some people are simply more practical about cars than others.

I think it's a 300 horsepower turbo... Zippy little car for under 40k. Only thing I don't like about it is road noise and flimsy feeling doors...

It's weird when Kracus mentions cars, it's almost like he has no clue what he's talking about.

We have two large living rooms, two game rooms, 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. 400 sqft outdoor kitchen that's not included in sqft along with a 600 sqft rec room also not included as sqft. A slip at the marina for the lake that's 1800 feet away... Groceries, mall, theaters and everything else 5-10 minutes from house...

Seem like your narcissism is really fucking ur life over... Chump... :olo: ...
All of which is meaningless because the land value of a carspace in a metropolitan city is worth more than your entire plebbo shack. :olo:

And that's a bad thing for the morons living in the metropolitan shitholes. They pay out the ass and get nothing... Unless you make millions a year you have to lower ur standards so low that 1200 sqft is acceptable. I'd kill myself and my whole family if we were force to live in those conditions... :olo: ...

Living on the single income of a nurse and supporting 9 children of course it seems unattainable to you to be able to live the lifestyle that those of us with money get to enjoy. The best you can do is pretend the life you're subjected to is the one you want to live, when the truth is that your sorry situation leaves you zero alternative. Killing yourself and your family is probably the best idea, you're all pretty much dead as it is. :olo:

I think you're slightly skewing reality here. The reason why the housing costs are so high in London is because it's an incredibly desirable area to live. The wages are higher here, the nightlife more varied, the arts, culture and lifestyle that Londoners have available to them is almost unrivalled. Couple that with one of the highest public school concentrations in the world, and you can see why wealthy people want to live here, so it ends up being a seller's market. Contrast that with the extremely low living costs of Briarcliff, and you have the very basics of economics at work. You don't live in a desirable area. You don't have anything in the way of culture, entertainment or arts. The land is cheap, up for grabs, and plentiful. So it suits people with low-cost-of-living needs. People such as yourself, who, due to economic reasons, can't afford to house nine people in a desirable area, because they don't earn enough. My partner and I were lucky enough to buy houses during the peak of the economic crises, and have benefited from the low interest rates and skyrocketing property prices. One of the flats we rent out goes for triple the cost of the mortgage.

So you're right in the sense that Londoners pay out the ass for their living arrangements in comparison to other areas, but other areas don't have what London has, so on balance, it's about what you require. In five or so years, we'll sell our properties, and after paying off the mortgages, we'll have something in the region of £2.5 million to take with us to the countryside, at which point we'll be looking at properties such as:

I hope that puts things in perspective, Geoff :)
